CLEVELAND - May 10, 2024 - Cleveland Force Soccer Club is proud to announce the hiring of Paul Shaw as the club's new Boys Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) U15-U19  Director and the Senior Director of Coaching.

Shaw has served in numerous coaching and director roles for several clubs including Ferencvaros Academy (Hungary), FC New York, Orlando City SC and Orlando City Seminole. In addition to serving as a head coach, technical director and sporting director, Paul also holds both Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) A and United States Soccer Federation (USSF) A Licenses and is currently undertaking USSF Club Technical Leadership (former Academy Director License).

"Cleveland Force is very excited to have Paul join our staff as our new Boys U15-U19 ECNL Director and the Sr Director of Coaching. He is a man of great character who will bring tremendous experience to our ECNL Boys Program and all of our club's U13-U19 programs. Adding someone of Paul's expertise and passion will further advance our club environment for years to come. We look forward to him starting this month," said Regional Club Director, Marko Raduka.

Shaw most recently worked at Orlando City Seminole Soccer School as the Sporting Director from 2022-2024, Technical Director from 2016-2022, Senior Boys Director of Coaching from 2012-2016 and the Orlando City SC U23 Head Coach for the 2013-14 season. Before his time in Orlando, Paul served as the Head Coach of FC New York in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship Division in 2011 and began his coaching career in 2008 with Ferencvaros Academy in Hungary.

In addition to Shaw's vast coaching and leadership roles, Paul also brings a decorated professional playing career, joining Arsenal at age 14 and making his First Team debut at age 18. He played with England's U18 International team and appeared in 440 professional games scoring a combined 106 goals for Arsenal, Millwall, Gillingham, Burnley, Cardiff, Peterborough, Sheffield United, Rotherham, Chesterfield and Ferencvaros.

“I’m extremely excited about joining CFSC," Shaw said. "I’ve been very impressed by what has been built at the club and everyone’s desire to keep getting better. I’m looking forward to using some of the experiences I’ve gained throughout my career to create the very best player development model in Northeast Ohio.”
