Paul Shaw
Senior Director of Coaching
We started training for the Fall season in early August. The first goal for the coaches was to start preparing the players for the beginning of their league play that for most teams began in early September. It's been great to see our teams start the season very positively. This just goes to show that the work the coaches and players have put in has been very productive.
I would particularly like to highlight Steve Brdarski who coaches the Girls U13/14 ECNL-RL and Jeff Tidd who coaches the Boys U13/14 ECNL-RL teams. Both of those coaches have worked extremely hard with their teams in preseason to organize them defensively and add creativity and attacking threat to our teams. They have worked very hard on attacking and defensive duels in training. This has shone through in their games and will help them sustain their good start for the Fall season.

Juniors Elite:
The Force Juniors Elite Program had its first games of the 2024-25 season this past Sunday. All 40 players came together at TOCA Rocky River to play against each other. The East and West side Programs face off against each other in a true game format. The teams competed and learned the structure and discipline needed to perform on game day,
The program is at its largest number of talented young boys and girls since it was created 3 years ago. This year, The Force Jr’s Elite Program has 17 girls participating in the program. The G.O. (Girls Only) initiative is supporting our young female players at training and in games to create an environment for young ladies to thrive in their soccer development. As part of the G.O. Program initiative, we invited 3 former Jr Elite young ladies to participate in the games this past Saturday.
Lucy,
Piper and
Sophia provided a great example for our younger players on how to give effort and be brave on the field.
The boys played tough this Sunday under leadership form Coach Andy and Coach Simone. The teams even showed great RESPECT and COMMITMENT to the process when the game format had to be changed due to players missing due to Illness. Wonderful job BOYS!!!
The day ended in celebration with all current and former players taking group pictures together. We look forward to great experiences like this for the Force Juniors Elite Program.
U20 USL Academy Boys
USL Academy has had a fantastic season so far. Starting in March and the Academy Cup and through our last few games vs Malone University reserve team, Indy Eleven and Lexington SC. The team's record is 10 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss and has scored 47 goals and given up 8. The team defending and Goalkeeping have been exceptional.
Leo Morana is on a personal tear scoring 5 goals with 2 assists in the last 4 games.
In other news:
Adin Ibrahimovic has committed to Bowling Green State University and
Gavin Crane has committed to The University of Akron.
Nathan Miller
(2010) has made his debut playing in the last 2 games and has played over 40 minutes.
Carter Buchholz
(2008,) made his debut against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds playing 20 shutout minutes and then getting another 30 shutout minutes vs Malone University's reserve team.
Check out the awesome photo below with Stan Koterba (CFSC 12B ECNL-RL) coming out to support our USL Academy GKs Carter Buchholz, Owen Szucs, Hudson Faye and Gavin Crane during their recent match vs Indy 11! All 5 players train together with CFSC Goalkeeping Director, Denny Ciornei! #chirp #FearTheKeeper
USL W League & U20 USL Academy Girls
Our USL W League team enjoyed a fantastic season this past summer that saw a plus 4 win total in a short, but rigorous, 12 game season. We are still the youngest team by a pretty significant difference in our conference but the players have responded and grown each season. We embrace the opportunity to play in the USL W League as a pathway for our top players to be recognized for USYNT and professional playing opportunities across the country and overseas. We look forward to the upcoming season and continuing to expose our youth players to some of the highest levels of play in the country.

Rob Miller
Girls ECNL Director
Girls ECNL U15-U19
As this is a slower time for our U15-19 ECNL Girl’s program I wanted to take a minute to recognize all of our athletes participating in their respective high school and collegiate programs. As our club continues to grow year after year, it is important that we all understand the path that our HS aged players and graduates have blazed for the future generations of CFSC. Their hard work and dedication have paved the way for our younger players to pursue their dreams at the absolute highest level of play in the Girl’s ECNL each year. The level of competition as well as the exposure to USYNT coaches and top college coaches is unparalleled, kudos to our college and HS aged players for helping to provide this platform for current and future generations!
We, as a staff, are excited about welcoming back all of our HS aged players for the upcoming season! New this year in the ECNL is the introduction of the League Cup, we will begin play against Pittsburgh Riverhounds on 11/23 in PA. The turnaround from HS season to club league/league cup play is extremely quick, getting everyone back at training immediately will be paramount to our success.
Best of luck with the rest of your season and we hope that you’re all ready to get after it in November!

Girls U13-U14
ECNL Director & Girls U11-U12 Pre-ECNL/GLA Director
Girls ECNL U13-U14
The start of the Fall season has been strong for all of our teams in the U11-14 High Performance department.
Our
2013G and
2014G Volt both secured the title of Champions at the FC Pride Cup. The
2013G and
2014G White programs have both gotten off to good starts in the GLA NPL, with the 2013G sitting in second currently, with a chance to make a push for first place by the end of the fall. Our
2013G and
2014G Blue both started off the season strong, with games against Internationals, Michigan Hawks, and Michigan Hawks Magic. The 2013's pulled off a 4-0 victory vs. Internationals, and the 2014's pulled off a 2-2 tie vs. Internationals. Great job to all U11-12G HP players!
Our 2012G and 2011G ECNL teams have also started off positively in the fall season. Both teams traveled to Michigan to play Hawks and Hawks Magic in pre-season games. Both teams have also played 3 League Cup games, along with 2 OVC games to start the year. Congrats are in order for the 2011G ECNL, who won their League Cup Division and will be onto the Semi-Final in January, to compete for an automatic bid to the 2025 ECNL National Playoffs.
Forthcoming, our schedule is the following for our respective teams:
2013/2014 Volt -- CASA league play, along with CASA Season Finale
2013/2014G White -- GLA NPL league play, along with CASA Season Finale, and Club Ohio Fall Classic
2013/2014G Blue -- Pre-ECNL league play, along with NCFC Fall Showcase
It has been a great start to our season, and we are very proud of the mixing of groups we have done thus far. Numerous players from all teams have stepped up to play with other teams, which is something we are very proud of. We are focused on developing top teams at the national scale in the High School aged teams, and this collaboration and mixing of players will reap huge benefits at the older ages in the years to come.
We are looking forward to a great rest of the fall, and hoping to finish the season strong!
Steve Brdarski
Girls ECNL-RL Director
Girls ECNL-RL
The season started with great excitement, as both the 2012s and 2011s played their first ever Ohio Valley League Cup games. The new league competition has the Ohio Valley conference split into four divisions of four teams. With two weeks of training, both teams hosted their first game and on the road for the following two. The two teams had a combined record of 5 wins and 1 tie over our group opponents, and both teams qualified as the group winners from our division. The teams will travel to Indianapolis in January for the semi-finals and final games. Very proud of the work and resilience by both groups to start the season off so well.
Both teams also started their first Ohio Valley league conference games this week. With three wins out of four games, the girls have continued to get results and show resilience. The 2011s had a great comeback win over GTFC on Sunday 2-1. An amazing team effort saw the team score with 3 minutes left to secure the win. Lastly, both teams had their first tournament last weekend in Columbus. Both groups had chances to play against good teams and get more competition. In six weeks, these groups have been tested and we have seen a great picture of their determination. We are looking forward to getting back to training to work on things individually and collectively. We need to keep working hard, and push each other in training.
2024 Alumni Update
The
05/06 group has started college soccer with great success and making an immediate impact on their respective teams. A total of 12 players started their first season about 6 weeks ago at NCAA D1, D2, and D3 schools. The girls have scored a combined 7 goals so far, with a majority of the group getting into the starting lineup in the first third of the season. We look forward to the chance to watch them play in person and have enjoyed watching the girls play on ESPN. We wish them continued success and can’t wait to see them after the semester. Keep up the great work ladies!
2010 Trapped Girls Team
This year we have had the chance to put together a trapped girls’ team for the Fall. The team is composed of 24 players from various teams in the 2010 player pool. The group has been training together for the past 6 weeks, and they are working hard to be ready for their respective teams in November. The first event for the group was the OP Invitational and overall, the weekend was a success. The girls made it to the final and played with a lot of heart. It was great to see the team play together and have a chance to compete. Over the next month they will play five games and will have some good tests. We look forward to continuing to work and getting better every training session.

Girls U13 and U14 GLA
We are happy to have the fall season underway! The girls have been working hard since the start of training in August. Both teams opened their season in the Crossover weekend for the GLA at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The
U13 GLA
team is a brand-new team and are quickly making the adjustment from 9v9 to 11v11. They are improving every day at training and have shown tremendous growth and development over the beginning of the Fall. With games being rescheduled, the girls will play most of their games later this Fall. The
2011’s are working very hard and facing some tough competition. They continue to compete, and we can see them implementing principles from training into the games. Both teams will have league games throughout September and October and will also play in the Season Finale in October.

Girls U8-U10 Competitive & High Performance
It has been an exciting start to the 2024-2025 U8-U10 girls program. The girls are quickly learning the Force way and our values of CHIRP. A focus this year will be having the players work on their juggling outside of training. New this year, all players have been given juggling tags for their bags. All players have been tested and we are excited to see the growth the girls will make. A special shoutout to Mollie Graham who was our top juggler with a score of 24 juggles.
The Tuesday westside training has enjoyed working with the 2011 girls as we start our Big Sis and Lil Sis partnership. They have had a lot of fun getting to know some of the players and warming up together.
Many of our teams competed at the OP Invitational. Congratulations to our 15g White East / South team who won the U10 Platinum Division!

We are happy to get the Fall season underway! It’s a new year and with that we welcome our 2014 players into the 9v9 Tier, as we look to get our 2013 age group ready and prepared for their next adventure into 11v11.
The season has started off well, and we’ve seen some really good footy. We’ve also seen an increase in the
COMMITMENT from our players and families. Our numbers for 2nd Team Training have increased greatly from past years! We love the
PASSION, and will continue to look to provide other opportunities to train.

Boys U10-U12
High Performance Director
Boys U10-U12 High Performance
Our Boys U10-U12 High Performance teams have had a fantastic start to the Fall Season!
- Training wise we have had a higher emphasis on Defensive Principles to start the season
(Pressure / Cover / Balance) and for the most part that has helped us be defensively sound across the board.
- Games wise we have had an extremely positive start on the field. We are trying to play Soccer the right way and slowly getting there day by day!
- Our 2013's got to represent the club in a national ECNL event in St. Louis earlier this month and came away as 1st placed out of 24 teams which was great to see. The team turned heads from clubs nationwide with some outstanding performances and results!
This weekend is a huge event for all our Boys PRE-ECNL Teams with 15 Games at Lost Nation against our counterparts from the Southern Ohio Midwest Conference.
Regular NPL/ GLA and CASA League play is well underway, with some mixed results but our Coaches are extremely comfortable with the start we have made across the board here. The volume of games here jumps rapidly over the coming weeks so lots of action to come! Enjoy the games and remember to relax on the sidelines! So far as parents, you are representing the club incredibly well so thanks for that!
- Our program wide Juggle Testing concludes this week (9/30). It has been great to see so many of the players training hard to set their own personal best for the year and set their base score. Individual Progress is the goal of this exercise and igniting the kids to compete with each other but also get out and train and those that are doing that are reaping the rewards, so well done!
- Myself and all the coaches have loved seeing the boys obsessed with their Fantasy Premier League Team and continue to provoke conversation surrounding the pro game.
Congrats to 2014 Owen Akinyemi whose team leads the FPL standings thus far! Amazingly without Erling Haaland in his team which makes it even more impressive!
I am confident we will continue to improve as the season progresses and look forward to enjoying that journey with you all!

Boys U8-U10 Competitive
The boys have been working hard each week and have started to make major improvements on the field each week. The work that the boys have given in training has really shown in the style all the teams have played in their respective CASA Games.
Many players had the opportunity to participate in the Ohio Premier Invitational in Columbus this September. The boys worked hard and learned how to compete and play in environments different from what they are used to playing.
I want to recognize two players from the 2015 Volt East team that were asked to play with the 2015 Volt West Team in Columbus. Well done
Jaydon and
Luca! Your hard work in training and games was recognized and rewarded. There will be many more opportunities for our players as their hard work and
COMMITMENT
continues to be noticed by other coaches throughout the club!
2017 Boys
It is important to recognize and celebrate many things in this game. Among the things I feel most important is being resilient. The player pool of 2017 boys playing this fall in CASA have had to face some game challenges. The group is playing a year up and facing high level competition. Throughout the season the team has not backed down. They come to training and work, get better and tougher each week. I want to recognize the families and players for their
COMMITMENT and
PASSION. The way the boys are learning to play will pay dividends for their individual and team development in the NEAR FUTURE!
