Rob Miller
Girls ECNL Director
Girls ECNL U15-U19:
ECNL girls are really in the thick of their competitive season right now and have went on the road to Tennessee in early May. One perk of our league travel is the opportunity to play in front of different schools in cities that we may not travel to a lot. While in Nashville and Knoxville saw a lot of different schools from across the state including UT, Belmont, MTSU, etc. We have 2 weekends left in the regular season and then ECNL North Carolina the first weekend in June. We have a couple of teams that are working on a playoff spot as well that will be determined over the next few weeks. ECNL playoffs this year are in Seattle!
Toby Frohlich
Girls U13-U14
ECNL Director
Girls ECNL U13-U14:
It's been a busy spring thus far for our u11 and u12 HP groups. Our teams have already participated in the The Great Lakes Spring Challenge and an ECNL Crossover Event held at the Eclipse Spring Classic. We are looking forward to attending the US Club State Cup, Cedar Point Classic, and Chicago Inter Memorial Day events in the weeks to come.
Our teams are all in the midst of their spring league play, participating in the Ohio Valley Pre-ECNL, GLA, and CASA leagues. A special shout out goes to our 2012 Pre-ECNL Blue team, who have already secured 1st place as the 2024 Spring Ohio Valley Pre-ECNL Division Champions!
From a Director's perspective, I am immensely proud of the players, teams, staff, and families. Having been around our u11/12 groups frequently as of late, there are great things happening at the u11/12 age groups. The individual development, coupled with team performances, has been exciting to see. I am incredibly proud when I show up and see players focused, competing, and having a will to try their absolute hardest every time they are between the lines.
Our u13 and u14 Girls ECNL teams have concluded their 2023-2024 ECNL league seasons. The 2010's narrowly missed out on an ECNL Champions League playoff position, with the season coming down to the final two games. A special congratulations goes out to the 2011 ECNL team, being crowned 2023-2024 Ohio Valley North Division Champions - finishing the regular season with a 10-1-5 record. Winning an ECNL Division Championship is a major accomplishment. We are striving to make this the standard for every team that competes within our ECNL program, so this was a great first step.
The u13's and u14's traveled to ECNL South Carolina May 10-12. Both teams played extremely well taking on top competition, playing Arlington SA (VA), VDA (VA), NC Courage (NC), Florida Elite (FL), and Florida Krush (FL). Our 2011 Girls went 3-0 and 2010 Girls went 2-1 on the weekend!
The u13's will be participating in the ECNL National Playoffs in Seattle, WA at the end of June. The next 8 weeks will see the team preparing to compete with the goal of advancing to the Round of 16.
The u13/14 ECNL Girls also recently participated in a Mental Health Survey sent out from ECNL Leadership. This was a nice segway and reminder into the point of year we are in. As we head into Tryout Season, it is important to ensure the overall health and wellness of our players. This time of the season induces a lot of stress, pressure, and anxiety on players. We do everything possible as a staff to ensure the players are still enjoying the game, developing, and having fun with their teammates and clubmates. Please consider checking in with your player, and giving them a bit of extra encouragement and positivity over the course of the next month.
From our u11-14 Girls HP Staff - thank you! We have accomplished some amazing things this year, and are thankful for all the time, dedication, and efforts our families put into making this club special. It takes a village, and we appreciate you all. Let's continue to push the standard and create a nationally recognized top tier youth soccer club.

We would like to take this time to thank and celebrate our coaching staff and our team managers (The Hill, King, Pastor, Kardamis, Hunsicker, Porz, Phinick, and Braun families) who work tirelessly on a daily basis to carry out our club mission and live out our club values while keeping our club members; players and families, at the forefront. We would also like to thank coach Cable and coach Jones for their efforts and contribution to our club, and wish them all the best as they join the women's soccer staffs at LSU and Villanova, respectively. With these departures, we welcome coaches Shelby Edwards and Oliver Slawson.

2024-2025 TRYOUTS
As preparations for the 2024-2025 club season begin, we have had a number of players show interest in CFSC & tryout sessions thus far, and we look forward to adding depth to all of our age pools.
PLAYER SPOTLIGHTS
2008B GLA members Garrett Obrst, Caden Phinick, and Davin DiFranco for guest-playing and participating with our partner club Barca Academy in the Crossroads Showcase in Indianapolis the weekend before the Blue Chip Showcase in Cincinnati with their team. The commitment and willingness to go above and beyond for game repetitions from these players and families is remarkable and a great example of taking ownership of one's soccer development!

Girls ECNL-RL:
05/06 Girls Team: The group started the spring season going to Ohio Elite and finishing best in their group by winning all three games and not conceding a single goal against. The team has battled all season, with different challenges every week. The team currently sits in second place, after a big win in the NE Ohio Classico.
07 Girls Team: The group had strong performances at both the Ohio Elite and Jefferson Cup college showcases. The team was undefeated finishing first at Ohio Elite, and second out of twelves teams at Jeff Cup. The group has been playing some great soccer, and is currently second in league play. The team scored 5 goals in its NE Ohio Classico win.
08 Girls Team: Continues to overcome every challenge thrown at them, with injuries being one of the main issues. The team finished with 1 win, 1 tie, and 1 loss at both the Ohio Elitce and Jefferson Cup. A big four goal game down at Jeff Cup saw some great goals scored.
09 Girls Team: Played very strong at Ohio Elite and Jefferson cup, using both events to find momentum in league play. The team is currently in fourth place, undefeated in their last five games which included ties against the top two teams and a win. Congrats to the girls and Coach Schmidt for their play this past month.
The 2010 and 2011 teams have battled through league play this spring. They just went to the Great Lakes Spring Challenge tournament and both teams made it to the final. For the 2011s, they lost in penalty kicks, and this was their fifth consecutive final this year. The 2010s beat their local rival on penalty kicks in the final to win the tournament. Congrats to both groups!
Hannah Gorman - 2010 RL
"I have been playing goalie 2 years. My favorite 2 Goalie memories are when I got to take a PK in a shootout and we won the tournament. The other is saving 3 PKs in regular season games this year. They bring so much energy to the game, the team and are great. My advice to other goalkeepers is just to never give up make the impossible possible!"
Caitlin Rose - 2007 RL
"I have been playing goalie for 9 years now (since I was 8 years old and decided I was tired of running up and down the 7v7 field). My favorite memory is getting to form new friendships and creating bonds that go outside of just club soccer. My advise to other goalkeepers is to be a vocal leader on the field and don’t get in your head after one mistake just take it one play at a time."
Aubrey Madden - 2009 RL
"I have been playing now for about 8 years. My favorite moment as a Force goalkeeper is getting to go to different places and hanging out with my friends and making a candy salad. My best tip or advice would be just communicate with your team because you can see the whole field and just be nice to everyone because you don’t wanna have enemies."
Avalena DeBolt- 2006 RL
"I have been a goalie for 9 years. My favorite moment as a goalkeeper at Cleveland Force SC is when my team and I went to Seattle for ECNL playoffs and we went into PKS our last game and I saved the PK to win the game. Super exciting and always will remember."
Giana Frisina- 2011 RL
"I have been a goalkeeper (on and off) for about 5 years. My favorite moment as a Force GK is saving PKs and stepping up to be GK when my team needed one. Although height is helpful as a GK, it’s not necessary to be successful as long as you’re willing to put in the work."
Abby Holland - 2011 RL
"I have been a GK for 4 years (2nd year with Force). My favorite Force memory is Combining with G (Giana) for a tournament 4 game clean sheet championship in Indy. My advise to other Gks, don’t let injuries get you down. It’s hard to fight back. Be a good teammate while you are out and when you come back!"
Sophia Buchner - 2008 RL
I’ve been a goalkeeper for 6 years. I love hanging out with my teammates during tournaments. My advice to younger goalkeepers is to keep working and find goals that are achievable and keep working up to your bigger goal.
Jordan Levenhagen - 2008 RL
"I have you been playing as a goalkeeper for 7 years. My favorite moment as a Force Gk is traveling to different states with my teammates and being able to get to know everyone better. My advice to future gks is to always give 100% and keep working on the little things no matter how basic."

High Performance Director
Boys U10-U12 High Performance:
Our HP Boys teams have got off to a Hot start with Spring League play, showing the fruits of our grind at training during the Winter season.
Our Blue Teams this past weekend wrapped up the Pre-ECNL League Seasons in style.
Our 2012's put a solid season together, finishing 2nd in their division. Coach Everett's team is in great shape going into the Post Season and looking forward to the transition to 11v11.
Our 2014's showed significant progress from Fall to Spring going an impressive 9-1-0 to win the Division Title on the last day.
Most impressive were our
2013's who went undefeated the whole year, winning the league, finishing with a record 20-0-2.
We had 20 different players selected to represent the teams at 2014 and 2013 which is a credit to all the players and coaches. It highlights the the program depth and philosophy that the Blue Rosters are fluid coaches will rotate.
HP wide we had our Juggling challenges in both Dec and April. EVERY PLAYER improved their top score from start to finish and the measurable improvement was so clear to see! Great job to every player that participated.
I am looking forward to seeing our Boys excel as we wrap up Spring League and enter the Postseason!
Good luck to all our teams representing the club in the State Championships!

Girls U9-U10 Competitive & High Performance Director
Girls U9-U10 Competitive & High Performance:
The girls and coaching staff have been working hard covering many Force principles. The girls have continued to be committed to their development and training hard. We have spent many months working on team shape learning common principles about width, depth, length, transition and inverting. The importance of moving off the ball and offering support. Many players continued to show their commitment by attending AOE sessions, TOCA and competing at training sessions. This commitment continues to strengthen our player pool. Throughout the year our 2014 girls blue pool, we have had 21 players who have experienced playing in pre-ECNL games. This shows how deep our player pool is and we are only playing 7v7. We were excited to get outside to compete in the Spring Classic at the Canton Football Hall of Fame. We put together a 2016 team who had been guest training on the east side at Richmond. The girls enjoyed their first tournament experience while playing on such a BIG field. We want to extend our congratulations to our 2014 White West team who went 3-0-1 but ended up Finalists due to goal differential. Our 2015 White West team battled from behind and came out Champions. The girls are excited for the State Cup and to finish the season strong.

Boy 2015 & 2014 Competitive Tier
The competitive tier program has started its spring Casa Season Strong. The boys 12-4-1 overall so far this spring. The record does not tell the entire story. Four teams are playing in higher divisions this spring than the teams did in the fall. The program is staying Committed to providing the correct environment for player development all while keeping our Integrity to play the highest team in the most appropriate age and division available.
I want to Celebrate the 2016 Boys White Team that is playing in the 2015 Top division this Spring. The team is currently 1-0-1 only conceding 5 goals to 15 scored.
The 2015 Boys White East is Competing in the 2014 Top Division this spring. The team is 2-0-0 playing against some of the other top Cleveland area clubs. A big
CONGRATULATIONS to the team that won the 2nd Division of 2014 at The Great Lakes Spring Challenge. A Great moment for myself as a coach and a parent happened when the 15b White East, just after receiving their medals, followed me to support my son and the 12b Volt West team in PKs. Wonderful display of support and Brotherhood! CHIRP!!!

Our 2012 Girls Comp teams competed in the Spring Challenge this season, and both represented themselves well in their Division. Coach Jermaine has done well with this group, having one of the teams missing out from progressing to the finals on Goal Differential.
